Team Training, Feb 5 at Glenwood Community Center

Posted on: December 21st, 2011

Date: Sunday, February 5, 2012
Time: 10am – 12pm

Where: Glenwood Community Center

About Team Training

Team training is for all members of KARATE MANITOBA, not just those who have earned a place on the Provincial Team that represents Manitoba at tournaments. So, please encourage others you train with to attend.

However, Team Training may not be for everyone, the training will be more intense and may not be suited for all who train regularly at their own dojos.

Please Note
Dates, times, and places may change. Before the event, please always confirm before you attend: rporath@mts.net (ph: 896-3354)

All athletes training for nationals and future competitions should attend the Team Training. Students attending these training seminars can further their own development even if not planning to attend competitions. All training is beneficial!

Let’s Get Connected!

Let us know you’re attending by joining our February 5 Team Training Facebook Event!

Team Training Schedule Format

Times normally will be:

Saturday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Dojo Instructors: encourage your students to participate. They must be 14 or older and be a minimum of purple/blue belt rank. We will make allowances for lower ranks but please ask and give reason for the exception.

Team Training Fee Structure

Please also make note that the training fee per athlete is $100.00, payable to Karate Manitoba. This is a one-time fee and covers the training year from the June 4 & 5, 2011 session until the March 10 & 11, 2012 session. The drop-in fee per session is $10.00.

Please confirm which days you will be attending – this schedule is not absolute however, we would like to know the numbers planning to attend each day so we can make plans accordingly.

Karate Manitoba Accepted Into NKA

March 27, 2008

Dear Karate Manitoba Members,

I am pleased to inform you that Karate Manitoba has officially been accepted as a provincial member with the NKA. I received a letter yesterday as confirmation. We are looking forward in working with the national body and taking part in their events and activities. There will be greater opportunities for our athletes, coaches and officials as the NKA is the body that is recognized by Sport Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee.

It has taken us a number of months, but last week the NKA executive sent their recommendation to the national counsel which was approved and ratified by vote. As further developments unfold, those will be shared with you and posted on our web site.

Sincerely yours,

Meron Solonynka

Karate Manitoba has ceased events & will not be sanctioning any tournaments until deemed safe.

We are asking all clubs to discontinue classes until advised that it is safe to return to activities by the Province’s health officials. Thank you for understanding. #karatemanitoba https://t.co/biyuqEfsCk
