Coaching Clinics

Training Quality Coaches in Manitoba

NCCP is the National coaching Certification Program – this program supports all sports within Sport Canada and correspondingly Sport Manitoba. Karate Manitoba is a Provincial Sport Organization of Sport Manitoba and Karate Canada is the national sport body for karate.

Karate Canada in association with Sport Canada has prepared the specific coaching courses for karate that fall under the NCCP umbrella. These courses are used to help coaches do the best job they can in coaching students in their specific discipline. Some sports will not allow or support coaches who are not certified through the NCCP. The courses are very professional and are used across Canada.

NCCP has three courses for karate coaches/instructors that provide insight in teaching and assisting the learning of students.

The first one is Karate – Instruction Beginners, and has three elements: Teaching and Learning, Making Ethical Decisions and Analyzing performance. This is the course that was taught Dec 4 & 5 by Don McKenzie of Winnipeg, MB and Donna Gardecki from BC.

The next course is Competitive Introduction, the third is Competition Development.

Check back often for Coaching updates.

Karate Manitoba has ceased events & will not be sanctioning any tournaments until deemed safe.

We are asking all clubs to discontinue classes until advised that it is safe to return to activities by the Province’s health officials. Thank you for understanding. #karatemanitoba https://t.co/biyuqEfsCk
